About WhadYaPuck About Whadyapuck

Our goal at Whadyapuck is to produce a teen / pre-teen safe site where users can buy and sell items without cash changing hands.

Here’s how it works: You sign your child up for a year long membership. They can then buy and sell all the items they wish without ever having to ask for additional money to list items or make purchases. This is a cashless system where “pucks” are what you seek and spend.

Whadyapuck feels that one of the most essential elements of our site is an even playing field. There is no way to purchase extra pucks. Your child must list items for sale and make a sale for their account to grow. It is essential for kids to learn how to manage their own account, to treat others fairly, be honest about the items they are selling and to think about the value of an item before they spend their pucks on them. All these elements will result in their account growing, new items coming into their home and pucks coming into their account waiting for that next great, gotta have it item to be purchased. As much as we hope this will be a fun experience for all involved we can’t stress enough how educational this site could be when used as a financial tool.

Questions and Answers

Do I have to pay for my own shipping?

Yes. Shipping is the only cost you incur after membership. Here’s what we suggest:

Go to the USPS link provided and ship from home to save time. Follow the instructions and rules listed on the site. In addition Whadyapuck suggests-

How do I earn more pucks?

SELL, SELL. SELL!!! We do not charge a listing fee so the sky is the limit on items you can list. The more you list the greater your chances of a sale. Somewhere, someone wants your unwanted items. When you make a sale, your puck account grows accordingly.

Can I buy more pucks?

No. Pucks have to be earned by selling items.

How long is my membership good for?

Your membership is good for one year. If your account is in good standing you will get the chance to renew your account each year for an additional membership fee.

I have made a sale. Why aren’t my pucks in my account?

Your account will be credited with pucks after the seller acknowledges receiving their item in good condition. Until then the pucks are put in an escrow account. If the buyer does not respond with a complaint the pucks will be transferred after 10 days. If a buyer responds promptly that the item was received and all is well, then the pucks will transfer at that time. Again, we can’t stress enough to treat others as you would want to be treated. Respond quickly to receiving all items to that the sellers account can be credited.

Do my pucks have a dollar value?

NO! Pucks are of no value outside of our site. You should not expect that unused pucks will be refunded to you for cash. Each puck is equivalent to a dollar only for easy pricing reference. Pucks hold no cash value.

If I stop using the site and still have pucks that are unused, can I request a refund?

No. Again, pucks have no cash value and therefore are not refundable.

What if I’m having trouble selling an item?

Whadyapuck is certain that everyone has something that someone else would want.

Re-list your item. Think of these key elements.

Why was I told I can’t list an item?

This could happen for a couple of reasons.

One, the item was listed in our user agreement as a non-list able item. (See user agreement)

Two, a parent or guardian has requested the highest level of security and upon hearing about the listing ask that it be stopped.

Three, your account has fallen into poor standing due to complaints, fraud, etc and no other items can be listed.

Note: Anyone not following the rules of the user agreement shall be barred from using the Whadyapuck website.

How can I make sure that my transactions go smoothly?

There are several things you can do to help the process.

First, only bid on items you want, and list only items you are willing to part with.

Follow the rules of the user agreement to stay in good standing.

Be sure that you have packing material ready ie..Padded envelopes, boxes, wrap, etc. If you are able to ship your item the same or next day the sale ends the process will move more quickly.

Give a complete honest description of your item so that the buyer is not disappointed.

Provide HONEST feedback about others on the site.

What if my item arrives damaged or is not what I bid on?

How did my account get 50 pucks?

When you joined and became a member of the Whadyapuck website 50 pucks were deposited in your account. They are yours to begin shopping with.

How come I wasn’t able to place my bid?

Do you have the available funds in your account? Even though you have sold an item there is a small waiting period until those pucks are deposited in your account If the system is waiting to transfer pucks you can’t spend those pucks before the transfer is complete.
